The majority of robot vacuum-mop combinations can be customized with an application that allows you to save your home's maps, set cleaning schedules and choose mopping modes. You can also alter the suction power and how much water the mop is using.
A mapping feature aids your robot navigate around rooms and obstacles, while an obstacle avoidance function helps it avoid hitting wires, furniture or other pet toys. These are must-have features in my house, stuffed with strewn-about toys.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the company's flagship vacuum and mop, comes packed with features. It can mop and sweep simultaneously, and lift its brushes or mop pads to ensure that soft surfaces don't get too wet. It can also stay clear of obstacles by spotting pets, plants, and other small objects.
The robot vacuum has a maximum suction power of 6,000 pascals which is higher than any other robot vac we've tested up to now. It is also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation, which tracks its location, preventing it from becoming stuck on objects.
The S8 Pro Ultra's mopping capabilities are also impressive. It can continuously apply pressure to the pad of more than 6 Newtons to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also comes with mop lifter that lifts the pad automatically as it changes between tile and laminate or hardwood flooring, as well as carpet or rugs, in order to avoid soaking soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self-drying capabilities. The pad can be cleaned and then dried with the dock, and the dust bin is automatically emptied and returned to it. You can set it to forget about it. You only need to refill the water tank, or replace the dust bag on occasion.
This is all powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. This is a very complete and robust product, with the only drawback being that it's costly. However, its sheer abundance of features makes it a very tempting option for anyone who wants to ditch their old stick vacuum and mops. If you are able to justify the cost, we highly recommend checking this one out.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end combination. Its high-end price is justified by its powerful feature set, which includes an impressive vacuuming capacity as well as two gyrating mops. It also comes with an app-based controller that is smart and powerful obstacle avoidance technology.
The L10S Ultra has a retail price of 999 euros, which is one of the most powerful robotic vacuums and mop combos on the market. In my tests, it performed well in all areas of the house, removing 98.4 percent of debris from all floors and managing to lift long hair with no getting caught in. The mops also performed well and produced excellent cleaning results with less effort than mid-range models due to their rotational motion and an incredibly strong cleaning solution.
The L10S Ultra's most significant highlight is its docking station that is multi-functional. Unlike the other hybrid vacuum mops that I test, the L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced debris pickup performance on carpets. Additionally it's not as adept at removing stubborn stains as those found in the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, which is the most expensive model. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra's high-end features, it still requires regular maintenance and care. To avoid mildew and unpleasant smells, the base station, dustbag, and water tanks need to be cleaned and emptied regularly. They also need to be dried. It is also important to keep in mind that the mop pads that are bought separately, are required to be replaced on a regular basis too.
Given the L10S Ultra's premium pricing and its extensive features I would highly recommend it to anyone with the funds for it. If you're on a tight budget I would suggest a less basic model that allows you to save money and enjoy hands-free cleaning at your home. Even even if the L10S Ultra was the best robot mop and vacuum you could buy but its price and ongoing maintenance will make it more of a want than need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
Eufy S1 Pro is the robot vacuum and mop you need to clean up messes and get rid of dirt from your hard floors. This powerful robovac/mop set-up comes with a powerful suction power of 8,000 Pa. It also has a huge battery capacity that can be used for both vacuuming as well as mowing. It is also equipped with an excellent obstacle-avoidance system. It even has a roller mop that cleans itself as it goes and makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that have to return to their base station mid-clean to clean the mop pad.
The S1 Pro has a unique mopping mechanism that is a departure from the spinning discs and microfibre pads found in other robots. The roller is almost the entire width of the robot, and it is supplied with a continuous supply of clean water that is filtered and ozonated from the dock. The roller scrubs the floor while taking in dirt. Dry debris is swept away with the side brushes, or swept into the front bumper. The S1 Pro then discharges the mop water that is dirty into its base station which is then absorbed by the tank's heating elements, and then pumped into a larger storage bin. The tank that is onboard holds a decent amount of water and can handle a half dozen mopping sessions before going dry.
Like many robotic vacuums and mop combos The S1 Pro is ready to come out from the box. The S1 Pro will need to be filled with clean water. This can be done using the cleaning dock. If you'd like to use your own cleaner you can include a cleaning solution to the dock. If you decide to use this feature, however, you will be required to purchase the Eufy brand cleaning solution which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow you to choose your preferred brand of cleaning solutions.
The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and navigation efficiency tests, as did most robots. It was quick to map the area and moved around furniture. best budget robot vacuum cleaner got stuck on carpets with larger piles a few times during my tests. However this could be improved by re-updating the software. The S1 Pro is a very capable all-in-one robot for affordable prices.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's entry-level mop and vacuum, and it still has some amazing features. The dock's multifunction allows emptying the robot's dirtbag, filling its water tanks, as well as cleaning and sanitizing the mop pads is performed by the dock. The mopping system itself is capable cleaning a large portion of an area before it has to return to its dock and the vacuum's powerful suction is capable of removing dirt and pet hair from carpets.
The app that runs this appliance is dense, with a wide choice of options for customizing the cleaning process. You can clean manually the entire area mapped by this device or select specific rooms, zones that can be expanded, or a routine you've developed. SmartPlan is one of the mopping options. The Qrevo was a great performer during our tests, just like the other Roborock models that we've test. Its navigation system is robust that can quickly map rooms and cleaning them in a neat way. The default pathing setting does a great job of covering a space, with no gaps or missing areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system is also quite effective however it's not as advanced as the color camera system found on the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can identify the dangers of carpets that are thick however it won't always recognize smaller things like rug tassels or electrical wires.
The one glaring flaw of this model is the absence of a mop-after-vacuum option which could be an issue for those who do a lot of vacuuming before cleaning with their robot. Thankfully, there's an easy workaround: the app includes the option to "clean up" at the end of each vacuuming session. You can make use of the vacuum's mopping capabilities to remove the last traces and dust that are left behind after vacuuming. It's a nice touch and can help the robot to get rid of a bit better than its cheaper rivals.
