Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one time and without the need to switch between devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads with the dock that is specifically designed for them.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer at a modest price, and it's among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean, full dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you want for each room.
For example, you can choose to have the robot do a deep clean in the kitchen and living rooms but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are also excellent, with the robot being able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only issue is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning on the app will reveal exactly what the robot has accomplished, where it's moving, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed, such as emptying debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent into the tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.
best budget robot vacuum cleaner and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop capable of running for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to see every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. This year's model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could miss.
This Roborock model, just like the other two I tried it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.
The only downside I found to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. However, you'll have to go through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its intelligent design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum removes dry debris, including pet hair and crumbs. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. Additionally, the X40 is extremely quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.
Another standout feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brushes, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture such as table and chairs' legs. The robot can also reach under low-profile furnishings which makes it a great choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that allows the X40 to avoid damaging floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or in a series. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors or reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and understand, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. They can also adjust suction power, alter modes, view maps and floor plans, and control mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it a perfect choice for busy families. The docking station automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it overflows.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. However, it has many characteristics that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and smaller dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.
Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature since it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.
There are a lot of options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are a lot of functions that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on a manual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
